Orchestre Anos Band de Parakou Nord-Dahomey were, as their name implies, from Parakou, Dahomey – now known as Benin. They released a dozen singles during their run – all but two for the legendary Albarika Store label. According to a post on the Oro God blog, the band was founded by singer and composer Boukary Alidou in 1973. Boukary was also band leader of Orchestre Anassoua-Jazz de Parakou Nord-Dahomey which were active at the same time and also released the majority of their records on Albarika Store.
