Sothipong Kong Sawath / ສຸດທິພົງ ກົງສະຫວັດ was, to best of my knowledge, originally from Laos. This recording was made in France with the multi-instrumentalist and produced Sothy – who was Khmer. Sothy is best known for a single that was released by Parisian label Oxygène and later reissued by Akuphone with two additional remixes.

Sothy eventually moved to Long Beach, California nad has recently passed away. As for Sothipong Kong Sawath, I know that he released one other cassette. But beyond that… Nothing.
